About The Gramercy Table

est. on a stoop, 2026 · written four blocks from the park

The Gramercy Table covers Italian dining inside one defined map: 14th to 30th Street, between Park Avenue South and First Avenue. Nothing outside those blocks appears here, which is the point — a small map walked often beats a large one skimmed.

Every room gets tagged for the job it actually does. Date night, family table, and solo bar dinner are different problems, and a restaurant that solves one rarely solves all three.

Who writes it

  • Neighborhood editorSal ImperialeThird-generation Gramercy resident. Measures every restaurant in blocks from the park gate and remembers what occupied the storefront before it.
  • Storefront ledgerGrace YoonHas lived on East 22nd Street since 2019 and walks the full map weekly, logging openings, closings, and changes of hands corridor by corridor.

How we work

  • We walk the map weekly and log openings and closings ourselves rather than reprinting press releases.
  • Distances are given in blocks from the Gramercy Park gate, measured on foot.
  • We pay for our own meals and accept no sponsored placements.
